If there is one travel event you should have on your “To Do” or “bucket List” then it needs to be spending a New Years Eve in Sydney, Australia. It can get crowded, but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The authorities even do an earlier NYE display for families, ahead of the main event at midnight. My tip would be to avoid The Rocks area and the south shore. If possible head over to McMahons Point for a little more space and the best views of the iconic Sydney Harbour!
