Daily Practice could be more Rewarding in the Memrise App this Summer

Memrise app users can now take part in a 30-day challenge to build skills, stay motivated, and enter to win a travel voucher.

This summer, the Memrise App is giving travellers a tempting offer in the quest to learn a new language on its platform. An alluring $1,000 in travel cash to visit a country that speaks the language they’re studying.

Memrise is a language learning app used by millions of people worldwide. Unlike traditional tools that focus on grammar drills or textbook phrases, Memrise utilises native speaker videos, real-world scenarios, and memory-based techniques to help users learn the way people speak.

It offers support across 23 languages and combines visual immersion with spaced repetition and interactive content. The app is available on iOS and Android, and includes features like personalised review plans and a growing library of practical video examples.

The new 30-Day Language Challenge will begin next week on June 2nd and run through July 2nd. It is open to all users on the iOS and Android versions of the app. The challenge aims to encourage a daily routine and help users build a consistent language habit. Participants are prompted to learn every day for 30 consecutive days using Memrise’s immersive video content and review tools.

The activity can be as short as 10 minutes per day, and each completed day contributes to the challenge log stored inside the user’s account.

Learners engage with vocabulary as it is spoken naturally, rather than recorded in formal settings. The app also features a personalised review system that uses spaced repetition and memory techniques to help users retain vocabulary over time. Users are encouraged to revisit words and phrases they’ve learned through this system as part of their challenge activity.

There is no fixed curriculum assigned to the challenge, allowing users to follow their preferred language course while still qualifying for the prize draw at the end.

Another feature being highlighted during the challenge is the “My Activities” tracker, which logs the number of words learned, heard, and used during the challenge period. This is the metric users will be asked to screenshot and submit ahead of the July 2nd deadline.

Every eligible submission will be entered into a draw, with one winner selected at random to receive a $1,000 travel voucher. This prize is intended to help the winner put their new language skills into practice in a country that speaks their chosen language.

All learners are welcome to participate, and registration can be completed directly within the app. Once enrolled, users will receive daily encouragement and reminders to stay on track. Progress is not tied to a single language or course, so multilingual learners or those switching courses midway will still qualify.

To keep the experience accessible, the challenge does not require a paid subscription, although some premium features may vary depending on a user’s plan.

The Memrise app is free to download and available via the App Store and Google Play. To participate in the challenge, users must register within the app and begin their daily practice on or after June 2nd. Submissions for the challenge close on July 2nd, and the winning user will be notified by email on July 7th.
