Lenovo Tech World 2023 Heads to Texas

Lenovo Tech World 2023

This week, Austin, Texas, will be the venue for Lenovo Tech World 2023 as it returns to its pre-COVID in-person format to set out its vision for the upcoming year in technology.

Lenovo Tech World 2023

Lenovo, the multinational tech company with headquarters in Beijing and North Carolina, is returning to in-person events after a muted (by Lenovo standards) showing at CES this year and all but missing from IFA in Berlin last month.

Pre-COVID, Lenovo often hosted Tech Life events as a sideshow to more prominent tech conferences such as IFA, along with having a stand at the main show.

And, with such a wide-spanning product range and a tendency to push new ideas to the market instead of just showing constant prototypes, Lenovo booths are always a busy area.

Lenovo Tech World 2023 differs from a Tech Life event as the focus moves towards the tech industry as a whole and the direction enterprise and consumer markets are shifting to.

Although I fully expect they will still show off the latest ThinkPads, Tablets and foldable smartphones.

Diving into the AI Era

Based on the press release and mini-site, Lenovo will be pulling out all the stops to demonstrate why we are all entering the AI era and how it will be touching every area of our lives.

I’ve always been a fan of tech that promises innovation and genuinely delivers. Recently, I’ve covered British Airways Biometric Trials and the phenomenal Delta Airlines Parallel Reality Experience at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

So, it will be exciting to see how Lenovo will be stepping into the AI arena and if they are working with any travel companies to bring this vision to airlines or airports.

Tech World 2023 is a one-day event starting with keynote sessions diving into the AI landscape, led by Lenovo’s CEO, Yuanqing Yang. Some of the highlights I’m particularly excited about are:

Where & When

The Lenovo Tech World 2023 event is in downtown Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, 24th October. This invite-only event can be watched online, or follow along on X (Twitter) with me @techfortraveluk.

Lenovo has kindly sponsored my trip to Austin to show me what they have planned for the year ahead, and I’ll be live-tweeting my experiences, insights, and maybe a sneak peek or two.
