Samsung Unpacked August 2020
On the 5th August Samsung held its first all virtual Unpacked event from Korea, due to the current global COVID pandemic. On the day Samsung announced five new devices all with some impressive specifications, including the stunning new Galaxy Watch3.
The other devices announced at Unpacked were:
Galaxy Watch3 Overview
I often struggle with Smartwatches because I still admire the aesthetics of analogue models. Samsung, however, does a great job of bridging those differences and the new Watch3 is no exceptions.
The design looks great on the 45mm and 41mm models which both amplify the Super AMOLED displays. There is even a new titanium casing that will be available.

Behind the good looks, though, Samsung has focused on the health benefits of wearing a Watch3.
Galaxy Watch3 boasts all the craftsmanship of a luxury timepiece while being comfortable enough to wear all day.

A Watch that Takes Care of You
New to the Samsung Galaxy Watch3 specifications this time around is the inclusion of Blood Oxygen (SpO2) monitoring. I’m keen to see just how accurate the Watch3 will be on this when compared to an Oximeter.
Shortly after the Watch3 is released, a new Samsung Health Monitor app will be launched. Not only with this track your Blood Oxygen levels but also Blood Pressure and Electrocardiogram (ECG) readings.
Smartwatches today still hold on to the fitness tracker features that they first started out with before becoming mainstream.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch3 has 6 sensors on its specifications list, all of which are utilised for fitness & performance tracking.

There will be an LTE version for those who prefer not to always take their phone with them and all models will be compatible with the full Galaxy eco-system.
