Travel Smarter with Airhook

Not all of us get to sit up front when flying, but Airhook 2.0 could improve economy travel for many of us.

Their patented, compactable clamp supports your device on the seatback in front of you and frees up some much-needed leg space!

Features

With the Airhook 2.0, the aim is to provide a safe holding for your device without the need for folding down the seat tray. It achieves this by clamping on to the tray when in its upright position.

The Airhook is a two-in-one solution for airplane travel comfort: a stable drink holder and a secure mount for an electronics device.

A Simple Set-Up

Airhooks small form factor is thanks to the main device support being attached to a bungee cord. Once the Airhook is attached to the table, and fastened, you can place your device into the slot either in a horizontal or vertical position.

Devices up to 9.5″ tall will work in the Airhook. As a reference, that would cover an Apple iPad & Mini but not the new Air or Pro models. All smartphones are supported. But, if the clamp can reach the top, it will hold your device in place.

Once the bungee and clamp are secured on the top your device, tighten the cord with the compression button, you now have a perfectly mounted device.

Underneath the display mounting is a pop-out beverage holder for cups, bottles and soda cans. The Airhook 2.0 also works as a tablet stand on a flat surface.

But it’s not just in the air where the Airhook comes in handy. Using the Cross-Bar (sold separately) you can mount the Airhook to the headrests in a car to keep any back seat passengers entertained on long road trips.

Although every type of traveller could benefit from the Airhook 2.0, it should be a must-have for families on the move.

A possible downside for some is that the Airhook cannot be used during taxi, take-off and landing. But, as the tray tables are not in use either at these times it’s hardly an inconvenience.

Could the Airhook 2.0 improve economy or short haul travel for you? I can see it being a benefit to anyone who does plenty of short-haul/coach travel where seat back screens are a rarity.
