One of the most popular headphone brands among travellers, Bose, has launched an “everyday wear” pair of earbuds. More importantly, they have an attractive entry price to entice new users to the Bose experience.
The new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have been designed for daily use and, of course, will come with that great Bose sound!
However, they’ve been launched at the same time as the new Apple AirPods 4 and share the same $179 price tag. Usually, I’d say it’s a no-brainer, and you’d be better off with Bose. But Apple has packed many new features into its buds, including 3D photogrammetry and laser topography ear mapping.

With its world-class noise cancellation powered by six microphones, the new Bose QuietComfort earbuds will keep distractions at bay, whether on the go or unwinding at home.
Bose says the in-ear fit is snug and secure. The ear tips will be changeable (three sizes are included) and stay in place even during workouts. Thanks to their IPX4 waterproof rating, they can handle rain or sweat.
A single full charge will provide up to 8.5 hours of battery life, and the wireless charging case provides another 2.5 charges when away from a charging port.
That’s an impressive 21 hours of continuous Bose sound in between charges.

The fast charging capability requires just a 20-minute charge to deliver 3 hours of playback, while a full charge takes 1.5 hours.

The primary controls are on the earbuds, which come with tap-to-control features, including skipping tracks, volume, and ANC control. With the Bose app, you can fine-tune the sound to your liking using the built-in EQ.
The Bose app will provide further controls to adjust the noise cancellation levels and fine-tune custom settings. It also features a five-band EQ, enabling users to tailor sound profiles for a personalised listening experience.
