With active noise cancelling and adaptive snore masking, the Soundcore Sleep A30 is built to help travellers rest better anywhere.
Soundcore Sleep A30
It doesn’t take much to ruin a night’s sleep on the road. The hum of a plane cabin, paper-thin hotel walls, or a partner snoring away in the next seat can all result in a restless night’s sleep.
And for frequent travellers, poor sleep isn’t just frustrating; it builds up. Lack of rest weakens focus, slows recovery between time zones, and can impact long-term health, especially on back-to-back flights or during hotel stays in noisy city centres.
Earplugs help, but they don’t block everything. Playing white noise on your phone might drown out the external sounds, but it means sleeping with a glowing screen near your head. Soundcore’s Sleep A20 earbuds addressed that by offering passive isolation and built-in relaxing audio. The missing piece was active noise cancellation, which is where the new Soundcore Sleep A30 comes in.
Features Soundcore Sleep A30
Adding ANC is the single biggest upgrade for the Soundcore Sleep range so far, transforming the A30 from a passive sleep accessory into a fully fledged sound-blocking tool.
The Soundcore Sleep A30 utilises a two-microphone setup inside each earbud, with one microphone facing in and one facing out, to reduce background noise by up to 30 decibels. But the most interesting part isn’t in your ears.
It’s the charging case.
The case itself now acts as a bedside snore detection hub. While you sleep, it listens for snoring in the room and automatically sends masking tones to the earbuds when it detects any.
This means the Sleep A30 system helps you stay asleep when your partner begins to snore, automatically adjusting the audio output in real-time without requiring any manual input.
The earbuds themselves support both streaming and local playback. You can listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks over Bluetooth or use the built-in relaxing soundscapes available in the Soundcore app.
Sleep tracking is also included, providing position data and duration metrics each night, all of which are visible through the Soundcore companion app.
Due to the size reduction and inclusion of ANC, the battery life has been slightly reduced compared to the previous model; however, it still holds up well for travel use.
No noise to disturb sleep with Active Noise Cancellation and Snore Masking System. Sleep better with AI brainwave audio. Ultra comfort.
Soundcore
You’ll get up to 9 hours from a single charge when using local mode with ANC enabled. That drops to around 6.5 hours when streaming from a phone. With the case included you get up to 45 hours of total playback in local mode or 35 hours with Bluetooth.
That’s less than the 80 hours offered by the A20, but considering the A30 is constantly listening, cancelling noise, and adjusting output while you sleep, it’s an expected shift.
Comfort is another improvement. The Sleep A30 earbuds are 7% smaller than the A20 and are shaped to minimise pressure on the ear when lying on your side. You get multiple sets of silicone tips in the box, and Soundcore has even included additional memory foam tips for travellers wanting to block out everything.
Soundcore claims the fit is both secure and unobtrusive. Other smart features include a personal alarm that only plays in your ears and a Find My Earbud function for locating any stray buds that might fall out overnight.
