IFA 2025, taking place in Berlin from 5–9 September, is Europe’s biggest annual consumer technology event where global brands unveil their latest innovations, including the Status Audio Pro X Earbuds.
IFA 2025 News
Known for its stripped-back branding and audiophile-grade engineering, Status Audio has built a loyal following by focusing on substance over sizzle. Ahead of IFA 2025 in Berlin, the New York-based brand unveiled its latest flagship: the Status Pro X true wireless earbuds.
The Pro X earbuds arrive as the next evolution in Status Audio’s lineup, following the success of the Between Pro and Between 3ANC models.
According to the company, this new model is 21% smaller than its predecessors, promising a better fit with a more discreet design. But it’s what’s packed inside that’s drawing attention.

Still using its signature hybrid triple driver system, a 12mm dynamic driver paired with two Knowles Balanced Armature drivers, the Pro X now adds support for LDAC and LC3 codecs, achieving High Res Wireless Audio certification from the Japan Audio Society.
The combination promises to deliver a rich, balanced audio experience expected to impress audiophiles and casual listeners alike.
Status has also reengineered its call technology. A new Voiceloom AI-powered speech enhancement system works alongside a trio of beamforming microphones to reduce background noise while keeping vocal tone natural. This should make the Pro X particularly appealing for users who make frequent calls on the go.
IFA 2025, running from 5–9 September at Messe Berlin, is Europe’s biggest annual consumer technology show. It’s a key date for travel-tech enthusiasts, where brands unveil new gadgets, smart luggage, and connected gear designed to make life on the move easier.
The event welcomes both industry and the public, offering hands-on time with products that could transform your next trip.
Noise cancellation sees a significant boost too, with upgraded Hybrid ANC that adapts in real time. Transparency Mode has also been refined and is now user-adjustable via the redesigned companion app. Other additions include support for Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, multipoint connectivity, and an optical wearing sensor.
Status Audio says the Pro X is ready for the next generation of Bluetooth technology, supporting both LE Audio and Auracast as they roll out more broadly.
Battery life remains solid, with 8 hours of playback and a further 24 hours available from the charging case. The earbuds also have an IP55 rating, offering protection against dust and light water exposure.
Some details, such as colour options or regional availability beyond the US and UK, remain unknown at the time of announcement.
