Galaxy Z Fold2 Overview

It’s been over a year since Samsung released the first Galaxy Z Fold device, a large smartphone that folds out into a tablet. More recently Samsung added the smaller Z Flip to its foldable selection before now updating its original.

The great news is Samsung has focused on the smartphone experience on the Fold2. On the front is now an edge to edge 6.2″ display which is up considerably from the 4.6″ on the original.

For any foldable device to really be a success, it will need to remain thin when closed. The Galaxy Z Fold2 is around 17mm. As a reference, the Galaxy S20, with the same 6.2″ display size is 7.9mm thick.

After releasing two foldable devices and listening to user feedback on the most requested upgrades and new features, Samsung unveils the Galaxy Z Fold2 with meaningful innovations that offer users enhanced refinements and unique foldable user experiences.

Taking on customer feedback is always a good starting point for making users happy.

Samsung addressed the smartphone experience with the larger front display mentioned above. But it also focused on the bigger tablet screen with a new 7.6″ Infinity O-Display with 120Hz technology.
