United Airlines has officially begun rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi on its regional jets, bringing free, high-speed internet to more flights. This marks a significant step in the airline’s partnership with SpaceX, aiming to provide passengers with a ground-like internet experience in the sky.
With the first regional aircraft now equipped and operational, some lucky travellers already have access to faster, more reliable connectivity.
United has confirmed that it plans to expand the service across its two-cabin regional fleet, prioritising Embraer E-175 regional jets throughout 2025. If the rollout remains on track, the first mainline aircraft will be equipped later in the year.
Fast & Free for MileagePlus Members United Airlines Starlink
United’s Starlink-powered Wi-Fi will be free for all MileagePlus members, even at the basic membership level. This move aligns with the airline’s broader strategy to enhance customer loyalty and encourage more passengers to enroll in the frequent flyer program.
Non-members may still have access, though details on pricing or restrictions for non-members haven’t been specified.
Starlink Wi-Fi promises speeds up to 250 Mbps, significantly outperforming traditional in-flight internet. United Airlines Starlink Wi-Fi should therefore help travellers to:

While United is the first major U.S. airline to deploy Starlink on regional jets, other airlines have also committed to integrating the service. Hawaiian Airlines has announced Starlink for its A321neo and A330 aircraft, targeting transpacific routes.
JSX, a semi-private carrier, has already fully deployed Starlink across its fleet of Embraer ERJ-135 and ERJ-145 aircraft. Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines has tested Starlink but has yet to confirm a rollout. American Airlines and Alaska Airlines continue to rely on providers like Viasat and Gogo 2Ku for in-flight connectivity.
While other carriers have experimented with free Wi-Fi, United’s full commitment to fleet-wide Starlink integration gives it a significant edge in connectivity quality and accessibility.
