Lug Loc – Luggage Locator
It has happen to us all at some point. Waiting for your luggage to come around at the airport carousel, only for it to never arrive as you watch others from your flight disappear one by one. Well fear no more!
Lug Loc is the worlds first luggage locator. Using GSM-GPRS connectivity the device is placed inside your luggage and can then be tracked on your mobile using the custom-built app (iOS, Android) or via your desktop browser. It also supports bluetooth for closer proximity tracking.
The unit retails at $69 which includes 15 days of unlimited traces which become active the first time you use it. As the technology is reliant on a cellular network you do need to buy additional traces which are good for 12 months after purchase. Packages available are:
- 5 Trace Pack @ $6.99
- 10 Trace Pack @ $9.99
- 1 Year Unlimited Traces @ $29.99
There is a useful video up on their youtube channel explaining how the device works, and while researching the unit it became clear their customer service is held in high regard looking at their facebook comments and the support I received using their live chat service.
We look forward to reviewing the Lug Loc soon, although that would mean losing our luggage!
