A new Uber for UK NHS Staff deal has been launched in time for Christmas, as the ride-sharing app helps care workers get where they need to be with savings just for NHS workers.

The festive season is here, and thanks to Uber, finding time to be with loved ones and attend Christmas events after a long shift will hopefully be a little easier for NHS staff in the UK this year.
The Uber for UK NHS Staff discount is a special initiative to support NHS workers with affordable travel, and maybe a little treat, during Christmas. With prices for absolutely everything in the UK currently rising, Uber is saying thank you to our NHS employees by gifting them £30 credit.
It’s part of Uber’s ongoing commitment to supporting frontline workers and ensuring they have access to safe, reliable transport options.
This scheme provides NHS staff with two £10 Uber ride credits worth £20 and a single £10 credit for a meal or some groceries on Uber Eats.
How to Claim Uber for UK NHS Staff
Access to Uber’s NHS discount is straightforward; however, there is a deadline for signing up for the offer, and the credits will only be available on December 24th and 25th.
Firstly, this deal is only available to verified NHS workers with a valid NHS email or staff ID to access the Uber discount.
- Register or Log In to Uber/Uber Eats: If you don’t already have an Uber account, download the Uber app and create one.
- Update your Uber/Uber Eats account to an NHS or HSC email address by 23:59 December 20th, 2024.
- Uber will then email your promo codes on December 23rd
- Apply the promo codes received by email to your Uber/Uber Eats account in-app.
If you qualify for this offer but have a personal email linked to your Uber account, you can change the email address by following these steps.
- Tap ‘Account’ on the bottom right of the Uber app
- Tap on your profile picture
- Tap ‘Account info’
- You can now view and edit your email address
- Once your information is updated, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to validate your email address.
Add the NHS or HSC email address to your Uber/Uber Eats account before 23:59 on December 20th.
As soon as you receive the discount codes on December 23rd, follow the email instructions and apply them to your account. The discount automatically shows in the upfront fare when you book a ride or order Uber Eats.
This is a generous offer for key workers in the UK who seldom get the recognition they deserve. However, the deal does have some strict deadlines. Some of the main points stressed on the Uber website for this offer are:
- Uber will cover up to £10 of the trip fare for two separate rides If the fare exceeds £10, you will be charged the difference. The discount will appear in the upfront price.
- The Uber rides promo needs to be redeemed on two separate trips. You will not be able to combine the two promos into one trip.
- The promotion code needs to be added to your Uber account before requesting a ride or food delivery. If this is not done, the promotion will not apply.
- The promotion will not apply to cancelled trips or trips taken using Business Profiles.
- Uber Eats will cover up to £10 of your meal. If the total exceeds £10, you will be charged the difference.
- Promo codes will be shared before the promotional window.
- The promo codes will cease working at 23:59 on December 25th 2024.
