DWARFLAB Dwarf 3 Smart Telescope
If you are travelling off-grid soon, exploring a national park or camping, why not explore the sky above you as well as the ground around you with the new DWARFLAB Dwarf 3 Smart Telescope.
Living in London, I often forget just how amazing the night sky can be. On the few occasions I find myself in a part of the world where light pollution isn’t obscuring my view, I certainly don’t have the equipment to see beyond the naked eye.
The Dwarf 3 Smart Telescope lets amateurs like me leave the bulky equipment at home and look into the stars.

Features Dwarf 3 Smart Telescope
DWARFLAB announced the Dwarf 3 Smart Telescope in December. It is now on display at CES 2025, showcasing its portability and cutting-edge features, including a Sony IMX678 sensor and dual-camera system.
At just 1.35 kg, it’s lighter than most laptops and is no bigger than an average book, so it could still be brought along even if you are backpacking into the wilderness. Unlike traditional telescopes that demand heavy-duty setups, the Dwarf 3 ensures you’re always ready for a spontaneous stargazing session.
To help beginners like me, a key highlight of the Dwarf 3 is the dedicated DWARFLAB app, which connects to the telescope via Wi-Fi or NFC, offering a seamless user experience. The app includes an integrated star atlas and a one-tap GOTO function, allowing you to locate and focus on astronomical targets automatically.
The telescope’s professional-grade 1/1.8-inch Sony IMX678 sensor is designed to deliver sharp, detailed images, even in challenging conditions. Adding to its capabilities are three built-in filters—VIS, Astro, and Dual Band—that let you capture stunning night sky shots.
Long-exposure photography can be tricky, but the Dwarf 3 includes a proprietary equatorial mount mode. This mode allows you to take 60-second exposures without worrying about the Earth’s rotation, which means more stable shots and sharper images of deep-sky objects.
However, the Dwarf 3 is capable of more than just space photography. DWARFLABS says that this Smart Telescope is also ideal for terrestrial photography thanks to its tracking features and time-lapse mode.
