The ShiftCam PLANCK SSD is small, fast, and tough. It was launched at CES 2025 and designed for anyone who demands portable and reliable content storage when travelling.

ShiftCam has reimagined portable storage with PLANCK, the world’s smallest SSD. Designed for content creators and those who are constantly consuming all of their available storage, PLANCK combines speed, durability, and portability in an ultra-compact form factor.

It’s the perfect pocket-friendly digital storage solution, weighing just 10g and smaller than a credit card. Its universal USB-C connection allows for almost unlimited compatibility with nearly all current smartphones, cameras, gaming consoles, and laptops.

The PLANCK will be available in 1TB and 2TB sizes. It can read and write at speeds up to 1050 MB/s, translating into a transfer speed of 200GB of data in only three minutes.

It’s compatible with 4K/120 PIt’ss video recording from devices like the iPhone 16 Pro, ensuring seamless content capture and transfer. Beyond speed, PLANCK is built to endure: drop-proof, IP65 water-resistant, and tough enough to handle any journey.

Solid-state drives (SSDs) have become the preferred storage solution for travellers due to their durability, speed, and compact size. Unlike traditional hard drives (HDDs), SSDs have no moving parts, making them resistant to shocks, drops, and vibrations—essential for travel in unpredictable conditions. Many SSDs, like the ShiftCam PLANCK, are water-resistant (IP65 certified), ensuring they can withstand accidental spills or exposure to the elements.
