CES 2025

The countdown to the most anticipated tech event of the year has begun! In a few days from now, CES 2025 will bring together global leaders, visionaries, and the latest groundbreaking technology. Here’s everything you need to know for this gadget-packed event.

This year’s theme, “Refreshed, Recreated, Reimagined,” sets the scene for what to expect during CES 2025. Organisers are focusing on sustainability, accessibility, and, of course, the big one: AI.

From transformative startups to tech giants, the exhibit floor will feature over 2,000 companies, including household names like LG, Sony, Lenovo and Samsung, alongside emerging innovators redefining their industries.

CES 2025 will run January 7–10, with Media Days kicking off on January 5–6. The event returns to its iconic Las Vegas Convention Center home, spreading across the Venetian Expo, Mandalay Bay and ARIA.

CES Media Days always offer a sneak peek at what’s to come and are perfect for journalists and content creators looking to cover the most significant announcements ahead of the show. Keynotes, press conferences, and exclusive interviews with industry leaders will set the stage for the main event.

One of the most anticipated keynotes will be from Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian. This year, Ed will take his keynote outside the usual CES venues and deliver his speech at the new but already iconic Las Vegas Sphere for the first time in CES history.

Having experienced previous Delta keynotes, this will probably be the week’s highlight for me. They promise to deliver an “immersive journey highlighting Delta’s vision for using technology to enrich human experiences” using both the inside and outside Sphere displays.

However, no tech event on earth can escape AI, and in the last four weeks, I have received emails from brands attending the event that boast the latest AI integration in their devices—no matter what device they use!

Regarding travel tech, I expect several new audio products suitable for travel, plenty of new power options based on GaN technology and Qi2 chargers, and, as always, new laptops.

While I may joke about the need for every new product to claim to be AI-powered or have AI inside, there is one area away from travel gadgets where this new technology will make huge strides this year: health tech.

There will be a dedicated space highlighting cutting-edge medical devices, wearable health monitors, and telemedicine innovations, as there have been at previous CES events. I look forward to seeing how companies leverage AI to help consumers stay in good health.
