We are about to move into September, which means only one thing: it’s time for the Apple iPhone 16 event. Now, we have the date and time confirmed, so mark your calendars.

Apple is set to announce its new iPhone 16 series on Monday, September 9th, in an earlier-than-usual timeslot, which has undoubtedly raised a few eyebrows.
What’s slightly odd this year is that the event is right in the middle of the annual IFA tech conference in Berlin.
IFA is celebrating its 100th year and runs from September 6th to 10th.
Of course, this won’t concern Tim Cook and the Apple team, as they typically don’t attend these events, not even CES in Las Vegas.
The IFA media days are the week before the 6th, so the press will have just enough time over the weekend to get from Berlin to California.
This year’s iPhone launch is generating genuine excitement, thanks to the much-anticipated Apple Intelligence integrated into the new iOS 18, which was confirmed at WWDC24.
Apple might be slightly late to the AI game in terms of getting its offerings into the hands of its users, but that’s never stopped the tech giant from succeeding in the past.
What to Expect Apple iPhone 16 Event
Although the internet is buzzing with rumours of a possible foldable phone or even an Apple ring, this iPhone 16 event will introduce four new models: the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.
Each model is expected to bring modest hardware upgrades, particularly regarding camera technology and processing power.
There’s speculation that Apple might unveil a few other products alongside the iPhone 16 range. A new iPad Mini is due soon, and there’s talk of a 2nd generation AirPods Max.
The much-anticipated Apple Watch X, or 10, is expected to debut in 2024, though it will likely have its own event later in the year.
The only puzzle left to solve is the event’s theme: Glowtime. Apple often hides an easter egg in the event name and logo as a nod to what’s to come, and this year’s theme is no exception.
