This article about the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i is part of our MWC 2023 news coverage. MWC Barcelona is the largest and most influential event for the connectivity ecosystem. Exhibitors and attendees include global mobile operators, device manufacturers and technology providers. The 2023 event runs from February 27th – March 2nd.

The big problem with tech events and Lenovo is that they reveal more products than I can cover in any reasonable amount of time. Luckily though, many announcements are upgrades or product refreshes.
Just last month at CES 2023, Lenovo had over 50 product launches! And this year’s MWC event was the same, albeit with a couple of new concept devices I’ll cover in a separate article.
I’ve often been critical of the IdeaPad lineup and similar devices in this ‘budget-friendly’ price range where “you get what you pay for” often rings true.
But as Lenovo pushes the boundaries with its top-end devices and continues to use new technologies to create devices such as its X1 Fold Gen2, it slowly lifts the entry-level machines into good mid-range and useable devices.
Features //Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i
The IdeaPad Duet 3i is a Windows Detachable 3-in-1 PC that can be used as a laptop, tablet or digital notebook with the Lenovo Digitial Pen (sold separately).
Ideal for those who prefer to travel light but have the option of a laptop or tablet to hand, the Duet 3i starts at only 697g in weight, depending on the configuration and will be best suited for light process users wanting to get some work done or enjoy a movie.
Slim, stylish and portable, the latest generation of IdeaPad Duet 3i’s offers an impressive new display, Windows 11, and a powerful new Intel N-series Processor combined with smarter features to make it the ideal on-the-go detachable laptop at an affordable price.
Lenovo
Running on the newly launched Intel® Processor N series and configurable with either 4GB/8GB of memory, the Duet 3i is not designed for power users.
There is good news from Lenovo, though, with a generous 11.5″ 2K touchscreen display surrounded by a thin bezel with 400 nits of brightness, resulting in a good viewing experience indoors or out.
Staying connected will not be an issue with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual USB-C ports, all as standard. Sadly there’s no 5G or SIM option on the IdeaPad Duet 3i this time; however, Lenovo still views the Duet 3i as a modern communication tool.
With a front-facing 5MP fixed focus cam and rear-mounted 8MP Auto-focusing camera paid with dual microphones, dual speakers with Dolby Audio®, and even an audio jack, Teams calls will be clear and sharp.
Battery performance will vary depending on use but expect up to 12.5 from a full charge. The Duet 3i has a Rapid Charge Boost feature that requires a 15-minute charge for 2 hours of power.
