Fans of Away bags and carry-ons have a new piece of luggage to add to their collection. The new Away Commuter Backpack is not too dissimilar to the original Backpack in its style.
Which is no bad thing.
I’ve owned and used the original for some time, and it perfectly complements every other piece of Away luggage I own, which should mean the Commuter Backpack will have no problems fitting in.
The Commuter backpack joins the Featherlight, Everywhere, Outdoor, and Transit Leather bags to complete the Away Backpack lineup.
Features Away Commuter Backpack
The Away Commuter Backpack, with a 25L capacity, is built for daily commutes or short trips. It’s made from 100% recycled water-resistant nylon for durability and is environmentally friendly.
The structured design features a breathable mesh back panel and cushioned shoulder carry straps, providing comfort for extended wear. Its multiple compartments include a padded 16-inch laptop sleeve to the Backpack’s rear and separate from the main storage area.
Away says, “There are 50% more internal pockets,” but fails to say compared to what!
From the images released with the announcement, I can make out at least five interior organisational pockets, including two mesh pockets, perfect for bulky chargers, and a detachable key clip for easy access.
The Backpack also includes two external expandable water bottle pockets and an all-important trolley sleeve designed for easy transport on suitcase handles.
The quick-access front pocket ensures that essentials like your phone and wallet are always within reach. All these features are wrapped up in a lightweight build that stands upright when placed down, offering both style and convenience.
The Away Commuter Backpack has a padded top handle and is available in five colours that match the Away colour schemes.
