There are many types of headphones on the market today, but there is one particular style that has dropped from the mainstream whilst remaining a favorite for use when exercising; the overear clip-on earbud.
There’s no denying they stay in place and often do a good job of delivering sound into your ear whilst blocking out most noises around you. But, many never looked great with their neon flexible rubber clips and if you brought cheaply ‘just for the gym’ the overall experience was even worse, possibly why many never brought another pair for their day-to-day listening.
Bang & Olufsen Earset
At a first glance of the new Earsets there is no denying they might look uncomfortable, yet this industrial design has purpose and the materials used, provide a premium feel! Some older readers may recognise the Earset as there was a original, wired, version released over 20 years ago.
Now, B&O have cut the cord, implemented features for the 21st Century and stuck to what they do best; great design and better audio.
Features
So how can earphones that look like this be comfortable to wear? The answer is in the adjustable earhook, the upright piston and swivel arm.
The earhook can be moved around to ensure a firm fit around the back of your ear, then the upright piston is raised or lowered to align the arm perfectly with your inner ear. Then all that is needed is to angle the earbud to suit your ear and you now have your own custom fitted pair of earphones!
The mix of Aluminium, Polymer and Rubber give the B&O Earset a very distinctive appearance but still provide a comfortable fit for the user.
There is the one cord which links the two earpieces together and worn around the back of your neck. This has the 3 button in-line control unit and microphone for easier use when on the move.
The design of the earbud is to provide a comfortable fit and deliver good acoustics while reducing sound leakage.
Earset are made for music, with tuning mastered by Bang & Olufsen’s acclaimed sound engineers for a powerful sound experience. The design of the earbud assures a comfortable fit, while allowing ambient sounds to be heard without affecting the quality of sound. ~ B&O
