Ad-free YouTube Premium trials, curated playlists and creator content are rolling out across seatback screens and WiFi as part of the Delta Inflight service.

Delta Inflight gets YouTube
When Delta took over the stage at CES 2025 in Las Vegas during its keynote, the airline outlined its plans for the year and beyond, including a partnership announcement with Uber.
Now, another one of those announcements is becoming a reality. Delta has partnered with YouTube to offer ad-free videos, playlists, and podcasts within its in-flight entertainment ecosystem.
Delta says this is the first-of-its-kind collaboration between a global airline and YouTube, one that will be visible across two touchpoints: seatback screens and the fast, free Delta Sync WiFi platform.
For passengers, this means easier access to content they already stream daily, now at 35,000 feet.
Julieta McCurry, Vice President of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity at Delta, summed it up: “This partnership was born from a simple but powerful insight: our customers love YouTube.”
With more than 165,000 seatback screens across 930+ aircraft, Delta already offers the largest seatback footprint among U.S. carriers.

The rollout features YouTube creators, including MrBeast, Michelle Khare, Nick DiGiovanni, Mel Robbins, and more, on Delta flights. Alongside videos, passengers will also find podcasts and curated playlists designed to match different travel moods.
From October 1, SkyMiles Members who log in to Delta Sync WiFi can access YouTube Premium on U.S. domestic flights, unlocking a 14-day trial at no cost with no payment details required. This brings ad-free streaming, offline downloads, and background play into the cabin.
Even boarding gets a refresh. Delta’s signature boarding music now comes via Delta YouTube music playlists onboard, designed in collaboration with flight attendants. The new instrumental pop soundtrack is pitched as elevated but family-friendly.
The Delta Inflight entertainment YouTube partnership taps into how people already consume content daily, extending that into the cabin. It makes use of Delta’s investment in connectivity, offers ad-free streaming with Delta Inflight WiFi, and turns waiting time, boarding, and even short hops into a chance to catch up on travellers’ favourite content.
The YouTube Premium free trial on Delta begins October 1 for U.S. domestic flights only.
Delta promised a bold future for in-flight entertainment at CES, and has continued to deliver on those promises with YouTube now on board.
