B&O H100 Headphones

The new Beoplay H100 by Bang & Olufsen offers the ideal solution for those seeking impeccable sound with sophisticated design. They may even be the most beautifully designed headphones I’ve ever seen.

With its advanced features, enhanced design, and commitment to longevity, the Beoplay H100 headphones are B&O’s new flagship headset.

In a market with stiff competition, they will need to impress to justify not only B&O’s title as its premium headphones but also the price tag to consumers!

Features B&O H100 Headphones

The Beoplay H100 is a big step up for Bang & Olufsen’s lineup, offering travellers a perfect mix of style, comfort, and technology. It has a lightweight construction, weighing only 375g, and combines a modular design to ensure these headphones are built to last.

Starting on the inside, the Beoplay H100 boasts custom 40mm titanium drivers designed to deliver high-resolution sound up to 96 kHz/24-bit.

Inspired by Bang & Olufsen’s Beolab speakers, these finely tuned drivers will offer listeners a “dynamic audio experience with crisp highs, full-bodied mids, and deep bass”, ideal for audiophiles and casual listeners.

For travellers who crave immersive audio experiences, the Beoplay H100 integrates Dolby Atmos and spatial audio processing. This technology creates a three-dimensional soundscape, making listeners feel like the audio surrounds them. The headphones’ state-of-the-art head tracking ensures that the sound remains aligned with the user’s position, further enhancing the sense of realism.

One of the Beoplay H100’s standout features is its noise cancellation system. Bang & Olufsen says the headphones will provide an unmatched level of control over the auditory environment.

The H100’s ten studio-grade microphones double the noise-cancelling performance of its predecessor, the Beoplay H95. This enables wearers to maintain focus and enjoy crystal-clear sound, even in the noisiest settings.

The headphones also include TrueTransparency™, allowing users to quickly tune back into their surroundings without removing their headphones.

And, long-haul flights will become effortless thanks to the Beoplay H100 ergonomic headband and lambskin leather earpads, which allow for all-day wearability without fatigue.

In addition to the premium audio experience, the Beoplay H100 exemplifies Bang & Olufsen’s commitment to sustainability through its modular design. Key components, such as the inner headband and earpads, are easily replaceable, meaning users can maintain their headphones over time rather than replace them entirely.

However, how sustainable it is to replace lambskin leather earpads regularly is still to be seen—for your wallet or the lambs!

The B&O Beoplay H100 Headphones are made from a blend of materials, including aluminium, leather, and hardened glass. They will be available in three colourways: Infinite Black, Hourglass Sand, and Sunset Apricot. The glass touch interface allows precise control, from haptic dial to buttons.

This precision-crafted Haptic dial will enable users to adjust volume easily, toggle noise cancellation modes, and switch to TrueTransparency™ with a simple twist.

The tactile feedback ensures that every adjustment feels smooth and responsive, making it effortless to transition between modes or fine-tune audio without fumbling with multiple buttons.

A long battery life is essential, and the Beoplay H100 doesn’t disappoint. With up to 32 hours of playtime on a single charge and quick charging that provides five hours of use with just five minutes of charging, these headphones are built for endurance.

The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures a reliable connection, allowing for a smooth transition between devices and uninterrupted listening.
