GoPro have been the market leader in small action cameras for years, and despite the constant news about them being taken over, they continue to develop and improve their products.
They have just released their newest range, the Hero7!
GoPro Hero7 Black Edition
The new Hero7 range of GoPro cameras is made up of the entry-level White, mid tier Silver and the top of the range Black model. This time around the big selling point is image stabilisation and the improvement to your video footage over previous models.
Features
To deliver on the promise of shake free videos, GoPro has introduced HyperSmooth, which they claim is the best stabilisation available on a camera.
“HyperSmooth is the best in-camera video stabilization ever featured in a camera. It makes it easy to capture professional-looking, gimbal-like stabilized video without the expense or hassle of a motorized gimbal. And HyperSmooth works underwater and in high-shock and wind situations where gimbals fail.” ~ GoPro Press Release.
GoPro has addressed some of the past users concerns about the controls by enhancing the voice control commands found on the Hero6. On this latest model you can choose from one of sixteen different phrases, such as “GoPro, take a photo” to control the device.
And it’s not just for the English speakers, Hero7 has support for 14 different languages on their voice control!
As expected of any GoPro device, the Hero7 is a robust little unit, maintaining nearly the exact same size as the out going Hero6. It’s also waterproof up to 33ft without the need for a skeleton case!
If you can’t wait to get home and share your travel videos, the Hero7 Black can live stream it for you. Download the GoPro app (Android | Apple) and the Hero7, via your Smart Phone, streams live to your social channels such as Facebook Live and YouTube. It even records the stream in HD on to the SD Card.
And there are plenty of other features for creative and content creating travellers to enjoy on the new cam. TimeWarp video is a new feature that uses the HyperSmooth stabilization to create time-lapse videos.
Or, if you always need to cut down on your post editing time, let the SuperPhoto function help with automatically applied HDR, Local Tone Mapping and Multi-Frame Noise reduction to enhance your images.
