Honor Watch GS Pro
At a very different, and subdued IFA 2020, Honor held a press conference on Friday to show off its new ‘go anywhere, withstand anything’ Watch GS Pro.
And the great news for outdoor travellers and adventurers is that Honor made it with you in mind. In fact, during the launch, they singled out Hiking, Swimming and Snowsports as focus points for the final product
Features
If you’re looking for a discrete looking smartwatch to track your daily steps and show you message notifications, this may not be the one for you.
The Honor Watch GS Pro was built for outdoor adventures who are going to test the limits of any technology they use. During the press conference, Honor pointed to hiking, snow sports and swimming activities as the driving forces used to shape the specifications of the GS Pro.

A rugged and strong build to withstand extreme conditions is underlined by a lightweight body. New features including SpO2, or Blood Oxygen monitor, mammoth 25-day battery life and a very attractive entry price!
Passed 14 different MIL-STD-810G tests, it is built to withstand challenging environments and provide GPS route back, outdoor functions such as skiing mode, celestial data and bad weather alerts to guide you in the wild, and intuitive features to monitor your performance.
HONOR
A Rugged Design
In a market full of smartwatches, most of which do look like small wrist mounted computers, HONOR has built the Watch GS Pro to withstand the elements, not the office.
The lightweight, but strong, polycarbonate case protects the stainless steel bezel and 1.39″ circular display
Sensors & Software
As expected of any wearable in 2020, the HONOR Watch GS Pro offers the usual fitness tracking capabilities. There are over 100 in total! Running and exercising are improved by a Live Coaching mode to improve your performance.
But, HONOR was keen to point out the new modes for Hiking and Snowsports. The advanced GPS Tracker and built-in dual satellite positioning systems retain points along your route, called Route Back, so should you become lost, it helps to recount your steps to get back on track.
Snow sports was the other big focus point. A new SpO2 blood oxygen monitor and Altitude barometer both work with the Skiing mode to track your exercise on the slopes.
25 Days of Battery Life
A noticeable claim during the press conference was to the battery performance of the HONOR Watch GS Pro, a massive 25 days!
⚬ News: Off-Grid power, New Zendure SuperTank Pro
Which is achievable if you don’t use it for much else other than reading the time. However, use the Watch GS Pro as it was meant and the life time of the battery is still of a noteworthy performance.
When the power-hungry GPS is being used during exercise modes, the performance is quoted at up to 48 hours. Which is still a good run.
