The Withings ScanWatch 2 was launched during IFA 2023. I’ve just finished reviewing it, and this is important because, despite the very different styles, the features are almost identical—which is a good thing!

The ScanWatch Nova is an attractive-looking timepiece on the outside and packed with smart sensors inside, such as its on-demand medical-grade electrocardiogram (ECG) feature. This allows users to detect potential heart anomalies, such as atrial fibrillation, at any time.
The watch can perform a 30-second ECG reading by simply touching the bezel. It provides live results on the Withings app, allowing users to detect potential heart anomalies, such as atrial fibrillation, at any time.
Another significant feature is the TempTech24/7 module technology, which provides continuous body temperature monitoring. This advanced system uses miniaturized heat flux and high-accuracy temperature sensors to assess precise body temperature variation.
The ScanWatch Nova also includes advanced respiratory system assessments through its blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring. It tracks blood oxygen levels and overnight breathing disturbances, providing insights into respiratory health.
Inspired by diver watches, the Withings ScanWatch Nova features a ceramic and stainless-steel rotating bezel with laser-engraved markings, full Luminova hollow watch hands, and thick raised indices for low-light visibility.
The sunray dial, mirror-polished stainless steel case, and sapphire glass with an anti-reflection coating add to its refined appearance. Despite its elegant design, it is highly functional and has a water resistance of up to 10 ATM.
One of the standout features of the ScanWatch Nova and a big draw for travellers will be its impressive 30-day battery life. This allows continuous health tracking without frequent recharging. The watch comes with a USB-C cable that enables a full recharge in under two hours.
The ScanWatch Nova integrates seamlessly with the intuitive Withings app, providing a user-friendly interface for customizing the watch display and setting notification preferences. The app also offers personalized health insights, trends, and recommendations, enhancing the overall user experience. It is compatible with Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and Google Fit.
To coincide with #IFA2024, Withings has announced two new and exclusive colourways for the Nova lineup.
Under the sub-brand, ScanWatch Nova Brilliant, are the new Titanium Silver and Bicolor silver and gold models. Both share the same technology, sensors and attention to detail as the other Nova options but will only come in a smaller 39mm casing.
