IFA 2025 News

Scosche is no stranger to clever travel tech, and the new FoundIT car charger shows precisely why the Californian brand keeps making headlines. On display at IFA 2025 in Berlin, this dual-port device isn’t just a solid way to top up your phone; it also makes sure you don’t lose track of your charger (or hire car) ever again.

I’m sure I’m not the only person who has forgotten where I parked my rental, or what it even looked like, whilst in a new city and was just happy I’ found a parking spot.

While not technically launching at IFA, the Scosche FoundIT car charger is being prominently featured on the show floor and is already available to buy.

It’s a small but mighty device, equipped with a single USB-C PD port pushing 20W and a USB-A port offering 12W, that’s 32W combined from your car’s 12V socket. Ideal for charging phones, tablets, and sat navs simultaneously, with just one accessory in your centre console.

What makes FoundIT stand out, though, is what happens when you leave the car.

Built into the charger is an internal rechargeable battery and a Bluetooth location chip that works with both Apple Find My and Google Find My, helping you to track its last known location from your phone if you forget where the car’s parked or leave it behind.

Apple’s Find My feature lets users locate compatible items using the Find My app on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Once connected, FoundIT appears in your “Items” tab, allowing you to play a sound or view its last location on a map. The connection is encrypted and secure, so only you (or people you authorise) can access its location.

Google’s Find My Device network, also known as the Google Find Hub, works similarly for Android users. Devices like the FoundIT can broadcast their location to your phone using Google’s vast network of nearby Android devices. Once registered in the Find My Device app, the charger becomes a traceable item with location updates and proximity alerts.

IFA 2025, running from 5–9 September at Messe Berlin, is Europe’s biggest annual consumer technology show. It’s a key date for travel-tech enthusiasts, where brands unveil new gadgets, smart luggage, and connected gear designed to make life on the move easier.

The event welcomes both industry and the public, offering hands-on time with products that could transform your next trip.

Both systems offer global coverage, work in the background, and don’t require cellular data. The key difference lies in the user ecosystem: Apple’s network is tighter, thanks to device integration, while Google’s is broader but still rolling out support for third-party accessories like this one.

Supporting both makes the FoundIT unusually flexible for a car gadget.

Find it fast. Use it anywhere, on any device. Seamlessly integrates with Apple Find My or Android Find My Device apps. Your location data is encrypted and only visible to you – or the people you choose to share it with.

At the time of IFA 2025, detailed battery life between charges is listed as “up to three months”; however, the internal battery starts to recharge automatically when it’s connected to power. What’s clear is that this isn’t just a charging upgrade; it’s a security boost for anyone who travels, rents, or wants to avoid the “where did I leave the car?” moment in a foreign city.

Alongside FoundIT, Scosche is showcasing a full range of new travel-friendly tech at IFA 2025. The headline act is the MagicMount Charge Pro 25W series, which introduces Qi2.2-certified fast wireless charging across several mount options, including a dash/vent model already available and others landing in October.

Also on display is the ScoVac mini vacuum, a powerful 12K pA cordless cleaner with a surprising list of features, from Turbo mode to keyboard dusting and even inflatable support. Rounding out the stand are new MagicMount MS magnetic mounts, the desktop-ready Charge Pro Desk with 15W Qi2 wireless charging, and the quirky-but-clever MagicMount Flask.
