Moto Buds+

More often than not, I’m used to covering cutting-edge smartphones from Moto. Still, after last year’s inclusion of free Bose buds during a Morotola anniversary sale, it was apparent the two brands were getting friendly!

Now, Motorola has enhanced its own audio product line with the launch of Moto Buds+, and it has done so in collaboration with Bose. This is great news as it brings together two brands: one that knows how to deliver the latest technology at a respectable price point and the other known for its premium noise-cancelling technology, especially for travellers.

This partnership promises to deliver superior audio and ANC experiences through the new Moto Buds+ at just $129/£129.

Features // Moto Buds+

The collaboration has equipped the Moto Buds+ with Bose’s Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and finely tuned equalization (EQ), providing users with high-quality, immersive sound which promises a user experience of clear, detailed audio.

The Moto Buds+’s technical design is centred around its 11mm Dual Dynamic drivers and includes Dolby technologies, specifically Dolby Atmos® and Dolby Head Tracking™️. Both are must-have features in high-end buds and are instrumental in enhancing the audio.

Each earbud houses three microphones and a 6mm tweeter for a more robust sound profile with crisp vocals and deep bass. This setup improves overall sound quality and enriches the listening experience by providing three-dimensional audio that adapts to the movement of the user’s head, thanks to Dolby Head Tracking.

Dolby Head Tracking is a feature that recalibrates the sound as you move, maintaining the directionality and intensity of audio. Some of Moto’s latest handsets already boast support for Dolby Atmos®, like the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Pro.

Power & Control

Users can enjoy up to 8 hours of playtime on a single charge, and if you’re in a rush, a quick 10-minute charge gives you 3 hours of playback. The charging case provides up to 38 hours of total playtime, ensuring users have access to all-day audio entertainment. Additionally, the buds support wireless charging, adding another layer of convenience.

The new Moto Buds app gives you more control. It lets you tweak your ANC settings, switch between listening modes, and manage connections for two devices simultaneously—perfect for juggling calls between your work and personal phones.

Finally, Motorola claims that the bud’s water-repellent design will handle splashes and spills, which users have come to expect from any earbuds made for being on the go!
