At launch, the HONOR Magic8 Lite features a 7,500mAh battery designed for extended use in varied temperatures, supported by HONOR’s three-day performance data.

HONOR Magic8 Lite
HONOR appears set to repeat a familiar strategy with the HONOR Magic8 Lite. The previous Magic7 Lite carved out a niche as a battery-friendly mid-ranger with dependable everyday performance. At the same time, the HONOR 400 Lite has recently targeted much of the same user base as a different product family.
The newly announced Magic8 Lite suggests that HONOR is positioning its latest device as the natural progression for buyers who prioritise longevity and durability over a glossy feature list.
With pricing to be later detailed in January, HONOR is introducing the Magic8 Lite with a clear focus on its next-generation battery technology.

Features HONOR Magic8 Lite
The HONOR Magic8 Lite launches with a firm emphasis on power management and long-term reliability. The centrepiece is a substantial 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, a marked step beyond the lithium-ion cells common to mid-range handsets.
HONOR claims the device offers up to three days of everyday use, supported by internal test data covering music streaming, online video playback, gaming sessions, and video calling.
This message sits at the heart of the launch, with HONOR positioning the handset as a budget-friendly device with battery endurance that rivals many flagship phones.
The company says the battery has been engineered for a long lifespan and high capacity, retaining more than 80 per cent of its performance after six years of typical use. It remains reliable across a wide thermal operating window from -30°C to 55°C and boasts reverse charging at 7.5W, allowing the handset to double as a power bank.
At the same time, 66W wired SuperCharge offers quick recovery when needed.
Our team at HONOR in the UK strive to create cutting-edge smartphone innovation that’s more accessible, affordable and more easily available for every smartphone buyer.
HONOR

Built to last
The reinforced body integrates Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, a non-Newtonian protective layer, and deep-tempered glass.
Non-Newtonian material stiffens instantly on impact, allowing the chassis to absorb sudden shocks more effectively than a standard protective layer.
An IP69K rating further supports the durability story, providing resistance to splashes, rinsing and brief exposure to hot or dirty water. According to HONOR, the device can continue functioning after immersion to a depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.
For day-to-day usability, the AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch features are intended to keep the screen responsive in difficult weather, something mid-range displays often struggle with.
Camera & display
The 108MP ultra-sensing primary camera delivers optical and electronic stabilisation on the HONOR Magic8 Lite, while the 1/1.67-inch sensor aims to produce brighter, clearer images across daylight and low-light conditions.
All of which is boosted by HONOR’s AI suite, which includes Eraser, Cutout and Outpainting tools for editing directly on the device, and what I consider to be one of the best on the market.
A 4K HD moving photo collage function adds creative options for short-form visual storytelling.
On the front, the 6.79-inch OLED display has a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth navigation. HONOR lists a peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits and includes several eye-comfort features, such as hardware-level low-blue-light filtering, dynamic dimming, a circadian mode, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.
Although not the latest chip, the Magic8 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which was only launched in February 2025 and more than capable of delivering power and performance for several years to come.
