OnePlus Pad 3

OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus Pad 3, a slim and feature-packed tablet designed to shake up the Android tablet market.

It builds on the reputation of the OnePlus Pad series, known for offering high-spec hardware with a focus on productivity and performance and is now supercharged with AI.

Launching on June 19, the new Pad 3 features a thinner profile, an upgraded display, and a redesigned set of accessories, alongside a powerful processor upgrade, all wrapped up in a very competitive price point for so much tech.

Features OnePlus Pad 3

Powering the Pad 3 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based Elite platform, Qualcomm’s fastest mobile chipset yet. It delivers a noticeable boost in performance, graphics and power efficiency, especially when running multiple apps or demanding tasks like gaming or editing. It also handles on-device AI with ease, thanks to a more capable Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

OnePlus pairs the chip with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. At the same time, the new cooling system utilises a graphene-based vapour chamber to maintain heat control without compromising performance.

The Pad 3 is less than 6mm thick and wrapped in a single-piece aluminium body for improved strength. It now features eight symmetrical speakers, four woofers and four tweeters for spatial audio in both orientations. The rear camera has been relocated to the corner, providing a more familiar layout compared to the previous model.

Our OnePlus Pad Series has established a strong reputation for delivering some of the most powerful and productivity-focused tablets on the market – and the launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 is the next big step of this journey

On the front is a 13.2″ 3.4K display with 12-bit colour and a sharp 315 PPI pixel density. The 7:5 aspect ratio has been kept for better multitasking and document viewing.

Battery life is another standout. A 12,140mAh cell powers the tablet through up to 17 hours of video playback or 6 hours of high-end gaming, claims OnePlus. With 80W SUPERVOOC charging, a quick 10-minute top-up provides an extra 18% charge. OnePlus says the Pad 3 will last for 70 days on standby and (potentially) retain its charge if left unused for over two years.

The Pad 3 runs OxygenOS 15 on top of Android 15 and includes AI tools like AI Writer and AI Summarise, along with Google’s Gemini and Circle to Search. Open Canvas multitasking has also been refined, with drag-and-drop gestures and improved split-screen options that suggest layouts based on how you’re using apps.

A new Smart Keyboard (sold separately) joins the range with a PC-like layout, wider keycaps, a dedicated AI key and the same oversized trackpad. The OnePlus Stylo 2 (sold separately) supports 16,000 levels of pressure and now includes tap and swipe gestures for quicker shortcuts. There’s also a redesigned optional folio case with three stable fold modes between 20 and 72 degrees, all secured by a new magnetic buckle that keeps the stylus in place when packed away.
