United Airlines Starlink Wi-Fi continues to expand, as the airline outlines where it’s available now and which aircraft are next in line.

United Airlines Starlink Wi-Fi update
United Airlines is moving fast on its promise to connect more passengers with satellite-grade in-flight internet. In a new update, the airline confirmed that its Starlink Wi-Fi rollout is not only on track but also accelerating, bringing faster, streaming-ready connectivity to more flights than ever.
For those following the Starlink journey, this is the fourth major update in under a year. From initial testing on regional jets to FAA approval for mainline aircraft, United is steadily equipping its entire fleet with next-generation in-flight Wi-Fi.
The airline has now installed Starlink Wi-Fi on over 300 regional aircraft, representing more than 25% of its daily departures. With “hundreds more” set to follow throughout this year, including mainline aircraft, United appears to be accelerating toward its goal of 800+ Starlink-equipped planes by the end of 2026.
With the current installation rate, United aims to have Starlink on more than 500 mainline aircraft by the end of 2026.
The service itself allows passengers to stream video, attend video calls, or scroll endlessly without speed throttling. That’s a noticeable step up from many legacy in-flight Wi-Fi systems, especially on domestic flights.

For travellers wondering which flights offer Starlink Wi-Fi, United has introduced a new Starlink Wi-Fi filter on its booking platform. This allows passengers to choose flights based on connectivity options, a feature not available on other airlines that offer the same technology.
But United’s deployment pace, particularly across its regional fleet, is putting it ahead of other US domestic carriers.
Over the last 10 months, the airline has flown more than 7 million passengers on Starlink-equipped aircraft across more than 129,000 flights, powering 3.7 million devices – and Wi-Fi customer satisfaction scores on those airplanes nearly doubled during that time.

From a traveller’s point of view, this rollout is a big deal. For business flyers who rely on fast connections or anyone fed up with sluggish in-flight portals, Starlink Wi-Fi could change the game.
And while there’s still a way to go, the early feedback appears promising.
