Portable fans have seen a surge in popularity over the last year or so. This past summer in London, which was relatively warm by British standards, I saw more people with neck and handheld fans than ever before.

For a brand best known for making portable cooling practical, JisuLife continues to blur the line between everyday carry and really useful travel gear.

The JisuLife Ultra2 Fan takes that idea a step further, packing serious power and multi-functionality into a handheld portable fan that’s only slightly bigger than some portable power banks.

Ultra2 is part of Jisulife’s growing range of lifestyle tech designed for modern travel. Every part of its body feels engineered for dual purpose: a handheld cooling fan, a USB-C power bank, and an LED torch that can handle both emergency lighting and outdoor use.

The power source is a 9,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, providing 1.5-25 hours of runtime depending on speed and usage. Charging is handled through USB-C, supporting 18W Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols. A full recharge takes around 2.5 hours, and the same port can be used to charge other devices, making it a capable portable power bank as well as a fan.

To the rear of the fan head is a concealed three-mode LED torch. It can switch between low, high and flashing modes, offering enough brightness for outdoor use or emergencies.

A safety lock switch prevents accidental activation while packed in a bag, and the removable rear grid makes cleaning simple. The concealed fan blades also keep fingers safe during use.

At 135 × 40 × 75 mm and weighing 295 g, JisuLife hopes the Ultra2 is compact enough for most travellers to consider it small enough to be an everyday carry.

The included accessories add real flexibility: two magnetic nozzles, a magnetic cleaning brush, a USB-C charging cable, a lanyard, a storage bag, and a small screwdriver.

Unboxing the Ultra2 gave me that rare feeling of curiosity that travel tech sometimes stirs. From the moment I picked it up, it’s clearly the “Rolls-Royce” of portable fans!

The build quality is exceptional, and you can feel it the moment you lift it out of its box. There will be those who want a cheap Amazon find for a few dollars, and then there are those who are willing to invest in a fan that will deliver.

The latter will invest in the Ultra2.

Every surface is slightly curved, and every control neatly placed to just the right spot. It’s almost too nice to use for camping or outdoor adventures, yet those are two of the travel scenarios where the Ultra2 will excel.

Getting started is straightforward. There’s a safety catch next to the torch button, which prevents the fan or light from turning on accidentally. Release that, and a quick press of the power button gets the fan going.

The LED display lights up first with an update on the remaining battery charge, then switches to the wind speed. When I first powered it on, I was impressed by how direct the airflow felt. At low speeds, the Ultra2 produces a soft, even breeze that’s quiet enough to use on a plane.

There are 100 different wind levels to choose from, and the smooth speed control lets you find the perfect middle ground.

A quick flick of the switch increases the power by multiples of 10 or so, or a slow slide increase through the hundred levels, one at a time.

Turn it up to the higher levels, and the Ultra2 shows off its power. I found that anything up to level 60 was okay for personal, indoor use. You wouldn’t annoy someone sitting next to you in an economy seat, for example.

Beyond 60, the motor delivers an unexpectedly strong gust of air that easily competes with much larger desktop fans, but it does get louder. Much louder!

At full output, the Ultra2 is particularly useful outdoors, where it can inflate a camping bed or blow up pool inflatables. The triple noise reduction system does a good job of keeping noise down at full power, but it’s not something you would want close to your ears for too long indoors.

I tested it on a small camping air bed, and it handled it without any trouble. At 100% power, the wind output is hugely impressive for such a small device.

Jisulife includes a couple of magnetic nozzles in the box, and they transform the Ultra2 from a personal fan into a portable air pump. The rim around the air outlet is magnetic, and the nozzles attach easily and stay in place.

The small brush attachment clips into the wider nozzle, making it ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach areas in your car or on your keyboard.

Battery life is another strong point. The 9,000 mAh cell easily handled multiple fan sessions before needing a recharge; however, this performance depends on wind speed and the number of times you use the Ultra2.

Charging speed is quick and done via USB-C, so no extra cables are needed. It’s not going to replace a dedicated power bank, but for keeping your phone topped up while out exploring, or in an emergency, it’s more than capable.

Just keep an eye on the power readout on the display to know how much power the battery has remaining.

Finally, the torch adds a genuinely useful extra feature. It’s bright enough for camping or late-night walks, and the three brightness settings make it flexible. The flash mode is another handy feature in case of an emergency.

As a fan, the JisuLife Ultra2 delivers precisely what it promises: power, control and reliable cooling.

I found it capable of producing a significant amount of airflow while keeping noise to a minimum at lower settings. And the ability to fine-tune the speed through 100 levels makes it far more adaptable than most handheld models.

What makes the Ultra2 stand out, though, is how well JisuLife has turned it into a true multi-function tool. The additional features don’t feel like afterthoughts. The torch is bright enough for night use, and the power bank function provides a solid safety net for keeping a phone or camera charged on the move. Each part works exactly as intended, which isn’t always the case with all-in-one gadgets.

For travellers, campers, and anyone spending time outdoors, the Ultra2 is perfect. If you’re already looking for a portable fan, it would be hard to look past this one.
