UGREEN FineTrack Duo review
UGREEN has become one of those brands that regularly pops up in a traveller’s kit bag, not because it shouts the loudest, but because it tends to get the basics right. Its products are usually straightforward, sensibly designed, and when I find them at tech shows, its booth is ALWAYS packed.
So they must be doing something right!
The brand features regularly on {Tech} for Travel for that very reason, including the UGREEN 100W Charger, which proved ideal for reducing the number of plugs needed on the road, and the 100W Desktop Charger, which handled being mobile with ease. Most recently, the NASync DH4300 Plus showed a more ambitious side, acting as a portable personal cloud for longer trips.
The FineTrack Duo takes UGREEN into a slightly different space, but one that makes perfect sense for travel. Keeping track of luggage, backpacks, and everyday essentials has become far more important. By supporting both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub, this tracker aims to cover more ground than most.

Features UGREEN FineTrack Duo review
The UGREEN FineTrack Duo is built as a cross-platform tracker, supporting both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub. It works with iOS and Android devices via their native tracking networks, giving users the flexibility to choose their preferred system.
Each tracker only connects to one platform at a time, though.
Using Bluetooth, the tracker pairs with a smartphone and integrates with the native tracking apps. Users can view the last reported location of their items and trigger an audible alert of up to 80dB, making it useful as a Bluetooth luggage tracker for suitcases or a travel tracker for backpack and suitcase setups.
When out of Bluetooth range, the FineTrack Duo uses the wider Find My and Find Hub networks. Just like an AirTag or Samsung Smart Tag, the FineTrack Duo relies on nearby connected devices to update the location of a tagged item, and reports it back in the native iOS or Android apps.
The device features a USB-C rechargeable battery with up to 12 months of battery life per charge, one-upping AirTags, which have a replaceable coin battery.
Additional features include left-behind alerts on iOS that notify users when an item is left behind. The tracker is compact and lightweight, designed to work as a small tracker for luggage during international travel or for everyday items like bags and backpacks.

Hands on UGREEN FineTrack Duo review
In use, the FineTrack Duo has a simple setup.
You choose between Apple Find My and Google Find Hub at the start, and that choice sticks unless you reset it. Once paired, the experience leans heavily on your platform.
On iPhone, it slots neatly into Find My and behaves much like you would expect. It is responsive, easy to check, and generally reliable. If you have used an AirTag before, this will feel familiar.
On Android, things are a bit more mixed. Google’s Find Hub works, but it still feels like it is catching up. Location updates are less consistent, and overall, it is functional rather than confidence-inspiring.
This isn’t a black mark against the UGREEN FineTrack Duo; more than Google still has some catching up to do on Apple in this arena.

For everyday travel use, though, the FineTrack Duo performed effortlessly during the review. After pairing a couple to my Google Find Hub, I kept one in my Nomatic Method Carry-on (Best Travel Gadgets 2025) and the other in the AirTag pocket of my HyperPack Tech Backpack.
The key to a good tracker is not so you can watch your luggage move through an airport in real time, though we all do!
It’s about having a fallback when your luggage does go missing.
Now, unfortunately (I’m going to regret saying that on my next trip), I didn’t lose any luggage during the review, but the FineTrack Duo did everything I needed it to. As a luggage tracker without a subscription, it supports both platforms and covers the essentials, as I checked in on my belongings.
If you do manage to lose something in close proximity, the speaker’s performance is loud enough to be heard outside a closed case, even in a packed check-in. If your bag is buried under a pile of other luggage, you will likely be relying more on guesswork than sound, though.

Where it does genuinely stand out is in charging. USB-C makes a big difference, and not having to hunt down coin batteries or carry spares is a small but very real win, especially on longer trips.
You plug it in with everything else. UGREEN says a full charge will last around 12 months, depending on use, which is more than enough, even for extended trips.
If you’re comparing the AirTag, it comes down to precision. There is no Ultra Wideband on the FineTrack Duo, so no precision finding. With an AirTag, you can get that last few metres dialled in with directional guidance.
With the FineTrack Duo, you are relying on Bluetooth range, the app and the Find My networks. But, did I miss it? Nope. And Android users are not affected by that comparison.
Build-wise, it is UGREEN through and through. Lightweight, plastic, and functional. The dust cover for the charging port is a thoughtful addition, although it is small enough that losing it feels almost inevitable.
Final thoughts UGREEN FineTrack Duo review
All of this comes back to value. In a four-pack, the FineTrack Duo undercuts most of the competition quite aggressively. If you need to track multiple items, that matters.
It is not trying to beat the AirTag on features, and it doesn’t. But it gets close enough in everyday use while costing significantly less, and that balance is what makes it appealing.
If you are after the most refined tracking experience, Apple still has the edge for iOS users.
But if you live in a mixed household with both Android and Apple devices, the UGREEN FineTrack Duo trackers are the perfect one-size-fits-all approach to luggage tracking on your next trip.
