Samsung had a very busy CES 2017, with new tech being launched from every angle and in most categories, but one item caught my eye for those who like to have their music with them at all times!
Level Box Slim by Samsung
The original Level Box has been around for a while and, size-wise is not something that is easily carried or packed away! Samsung have now updated their Level range to include the new Slim.
The Slim has some pretty impressive stats for such a small unit and the curved design make it feel and appear much smaller than it is. The curves also make putting it in your bag or pocket easier, as it will be a much better fit!

The 8W speakers have a great output for such a small unit and offer, what Samsung call, balanced audio, for both indoor and outdoor use!
The built-in Mic allows you to take phone calls via the speaker, which also has built in noise reduction and echo cancellation to ensure a crisp clear conversation!
As with most new “mobile” tech these days we are all getting more used to seeing the IPX7 rating being included. For the Slim this means you do not need to worry about any unexpected splashes or even a 30 min dip in the pool, but not beyond 1m deep, but feel free to have it join you for your morning shower!
Although the 2,600 mAh battery pack is fairly small, it does have a party trick! If you are in need of a charge to your phone or tablet it can be used as an external battery pack. I doubt you could use the Slim for much longer after giving your phone a full charge but is a nice addition from Samsung.
At the launch, Samsung gave no indication to the price or when it was going to be released for sale, stating only, that it would be made available to select markets!
