I have previously expressed and will do once more that the collaborative efforts between Formula One and luggage brands consistently yield exquisitely remarkable outcomes.
The “World’s most famous suitcase” maker, Globe-Trotter, Handmade in England using Vulcanised Fibreboard, is a current sponsor and luggage provider to the Aston Martin Formula One team.
This latest case is part of a very limited edition run consisting of only 50 pieces and goes on sale alongside the already available Globe-Trotter x Aston Martin Collection.
Unmistakably, Globe-Trotter
What sets this new limited edition carry-on apart is the High gloss vulcanised fibreboard finish in Aston Martin Racing Green. The shell has a slightly mottled complexion, not the smooth-to-touch standard finish of many GT cases, and combined with the glossy finish, creates two varying styles.
Under normal light, the AMR23 Limited Edition Carry-On has a glossy sheen. Yet, as the evening closed in during the launch event, I noticed under the tail lights of the Aston Martin DBX the exterior colour popped and appeared even more vibrant! It seemed almost metallic.

Globe-Trotter
Along the closing edge, the brand names of the AMR title & strategic sponsors, Cognizant and Aramco, are printed above the first of two Globe-Trotter plaques on this carry-on. This external plaque confirms which of the 50 luggage pieces you have from this limited edition run.
To ensure this piece of recognised as a Globe-Trotter case, the external black leather straps and corner protectors align with the GT styling and is completed with a bespoke leather luggage tag designed especially for this case.
As this limited edition is based on the four-spinner wheel style of GT carry-on, the aluminium trolley system is housed within the body of the case. In contrast, the shallower two-wheel models from other collections keep the system outside to maximise storage capacity.
More Luxury Inside
From the sturdy and strong Vulcanised Fibreboard body outside, the Globe-Trotter x Aston Martin F1 AMR23 Limited Edition Carry-On has a soft Luxe micro fibre Giardini lining and soft cotton webbing straps.
For motorsport fans or luggage enthusiasts who want something different, this case has it in the form of a piece of carbon fibre taken from an AMR F1 car. All 50 pieces are from the sidepod of Fernando Alonso’s car that he drove to gain his historic 100th podium finish in the 2023 Saudi Arabia GP and is mounted on the lower back wall of the case as its opened.
On the upper half of the case, as it opens, is the second of the branded plaques.
