Hot on the heels of the groundbreaking G-RO Carry-On bag, the team behind the big wheel are back!  Now, they have a selection of pieces to provide a full range of luggage.

G-RO Luggage

G-RO are a fairly new luggage brand that made a sizeable impact on the market with their unique looking Carry-On.  The oversized wheels give the case a better centre of gravity for ease of use, are thin so as to not use up any internal space and provide a level of protection to the bag itself!

To compliment the Carry-On, there is now the Check-In, the Office and a choice of two different sized backpacks.

The Check-In

At first glance this may appear to be just a larger version of the Carry-On, but you would be wrong!

This 86l capacity multi-purpose case can expand up to 96l if required and held in place with the external compression straps.  These sit neatly in-between 4 external pockets should you need extra storage or quick access to certain items.  All of which is made from Ballistic Nylon, a fabric being used more and more due to how well it wears over time!

Inside, there are two main compartments and a shoe section (accessed from the outside) and additional smaller pouches along the inside wall.  Should you need to utilise any of that expandable storage, undo the outside zipper and then fasten the compression straps so your items are held securely, once you have the space you need.

G-RO have teamed up with Tile, to provide a Slim Bluetooth tracker with each case.  So if your luggage doesn’t arrive when you do, open the Tile App and locate your luggage anywhere in the world thanks to the Tile Community.

The Office

Big wheel technology is not just for the long haul travellers!  The team at G-RO recognise this and have refreshed the laptop pull-along bag to make your daily commute, easier!

Coming in a choice of Ballistic Nylon, Stingrey Polyblend or 630D Nylon, the Office is ideal for day-to-day use or even an overnight business trip away!

This small, yet mighty, workhorse has 33.5l of storage capacity for your belongings and a waterproof, padded laptop section that can fit up to a 15″ device.  There are three external pockets, with one being an easy access, more secure pocket on the underside of the case.

The 5 stage telescopic handle ensures a perfect height for any user and the G-RO tough terrain wheels with arched undercarriage means the Office will withstand any commute!

The Backpack XV & Light

G-RO pieces stand out thanks to their wheels, but just because neither of their new backpacks have this feature it doesn’t mean they have not put as much focus on the design!

The XV is a Backpack designed for people just like me! Someone who always thinks he can get away with just his Backpack and fills it to bursting point.  With the XV that problem is removed thanks to the expandable pack.  Starting at 15l storage, fully expanded your capacity increases to 32l!!

Similar to its larger sibling, the Check-In, the XV has a place for all your kit.

  • Padded Laptop Section
  • Tablet Sleeve
  • Glasses Pouch
  • 3 External Pockets
  • Headphone Pouch
  • Internal Mesh Dividers

The colour schemes stay consist with the new range, with Ballistic Nylon or Stingrey Polyblend as your materials.  As with all of the new pieces the Tile Slim is included and an external USB port.  This enables you to hook up a power pack inside the backpack and charge your devices on the go.

A secure pocket can again be found on the XV, sitting against your back when in use so as not to be accessible to anyone else.  There are also 2 adjustment buckles on each shoulder strap and a chest strap, so you can get a perfect fit and distribute the weight should be using the full 32l of space!

Finally, the Backpack Light is everything a digital nomad needs in a bag for their day-to-day lives.  Slim and elegant, the Backpack has very little additional space for anything other than the items you need.  This is not a bad thing!

Personally, I could see the light working well with the Check-In or Office, as a day pack that you can flat pack into either.  Once you reach your destination, leave the larger luggage behind and set of with just the Light on your back.  I’d actually go as far to say if you do invest in either of the larger cases, double up and include a Light with them!
