B&O Beoplay E8 2.0 Earbuds

Bang & Olufsen are renowned for creating beautiful technology and often back that up with devices that perform as expected for a premium priced product!

The E8 2.0 earbuds are not new as such, but, a refinement of the original which were already a good offering for those who prefer a truly wireless experience.

Features

So the big news is, there really isn’t much change to the original earbuds themselves! The upgrades have mostly been focused on making the E8 2.0 one of a fully wireless experience.

B&O claim to have listened to user feedback for the creation of the 2.0 version, and what they wanted, apparently, is wireless charging! The improved case that now ships with the E8 2.0 (or can be purchased separately if needed) can be charged wirelessly.

Great, but no Wireless charging pad is included! Only a USB-C cable and you need to supply your own Wireless charger. Not such a great deal when these new Earbuds cost £300.

If you did want to keep within the B&O product line though, then they are launching their own QI Wireless charging pad in April, for an eye-watering £110. May I suggest Amazon?

Moving that gripe to one side, these are a beautifully crafted pair of Earbuds, that, despite their appearance, do sit very well inside the ear. They come with 4 sizes of silicon tips and 1 pair of Complyfoam tips to ensure you get the best fit possible.

The wireless charging case now holds three full charges, which gives up to 16 hours playing time. This is an improvement on the 12 hours offered with the original and is easily enough for a day’s listening on the move. ~ Bang & Olufsen

Identical to the original E8s, the 2.0 version are controlled by the two tap controls, one on each Earbud. These can be a bit fiddly to begin with and remembering all the different sequences is a bit of a challenge, but you will remember the ones you use most often!
