Last time out for the T1, size was the priority in the T1 Mini. Now, Timekettle is laser-focused on faster response times, expanded offline capabilities, and wider global data coverage, all wrapped in a lighter, more travel-friendly design.

The T1 AI Translator comes preloaded with 31 languages for offline use, up from 13 in the original T1, and can automatically switch between online and offline modes depending on signal availability. This makes it practical for use in remote areas, on planes or in regions where connectivity is poor or unpredictable.
At the centre of the new T1 is an AI Edge model that runs translation algorithms locally on the device. This means users can translate conversations without relying on the cloud, Wi-Fi or mobile signal. Offline accuracy reaches 90%, which is significantly closer to online quality than most offline translation tools.
This is managed through built-in cellular connectivity with automatic routing, removing the need to insert or change a SIM card. With access to over 200 mobile networks, the device ensures coverage in most parts of the world, eliminating the need for manual configuration.
In terms of performance, the T1 AI Translator delivers a rapid 0.2-second response time. Its translation engine processes longer sentences at three times the speed of standard devices and performs up to 200% faster in low-connectivity environments.
The new hardware is built with travel in mind. At just 115 grams, the device is compact enough for any carry-on, coat pocket or daypack. Timekettle has included two years of free global data in over 150 countries.
The display has been upgraded to a 4″ HD touch panel with a resolution of 540 x 1080 pixels and a 2:1 screen ratio. This combination improves readability during on-the-go usage. The battery lasts for up to four hours of continuous use and holds a standby charge for up to seven days.

Listen Mode picks up voices nearby and translates them on-screen without requiring interaction, while Chat Mode supports two-way real-time conversations between speakers of different languages. A new landscape display mode enhances legibility by presenting translated text in a horizontal layout, making it easier to read when the device is placed on a table or shared between users.
