Purchasing a local SIM card is always a good alternative to using your own when abroad, and where this helps with data consumption, no one will have your new number! Insert that data only SIM into the M7650 though, and you’ll have Wifi connectivity wherever you go and can still receive calls/text on your normal SIM!
The device can handle 32 connections at any one time, which would use up the data fairly quickly, but the digital display provides real time information on the status of the device and the amount of data being used – or is left on your allowance.
The display will inform you of battery life, the carrier network you are connected to, data usage, 4G/3G connectivity and basic device info. All of which can be managed and configured from within the purpose-built app.
App Control
The free app (Android | iOS) gives you full control over the device and lets you set limits as to how much each person can use it and even which devices can connect to it.
There is an additional slot where you can install an SD card (up to 32GB) for connected storage. Each device that has the app installed, can access the micro SD card on the M7650 and upload/download images, videos and music.
