Features // iWalk PowerGrip Mag Review

The iWalk PowerGrip Mag Magsafe Charger is an innovative portable charging solution providing a seamless and powerful experience for MagSafe-compatible devices.

Equipped with a generous 6,000mAh capacity, the PowerGrip Mag offers ample power to keep your devices charged throughout the day.

One of the standout features of the PowerGrip Mag is its exceptional MagSafe connection. This technology enables a secure and efficient charging experience, ensuring a stable connection between the charger and your MagSafe-compatible device.

The PowerGrip comes in Black, Orange, Pink or white colour options, all of which boast a small 15mm diameter circular LED display that confirms the percentage of power remaining or how long it has until fully charged, depending on the mode it’s in.

In the centre of the PowerGrip is a 2-in-1 Finger Ring and iPhone Stand. The ring can swivel 360° and works for left- and right-handed users. Around the edge is an activation button on the left side and a fast-charge output/input USB-C port on the bottom.

Charging

The real beauty of this Magsafe portable battery is that it can charge two devices simultaneously.

I found myself on a heavily delayed Vienna to Heathrow flight during the review, and both my iPhone 14 Pro and Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones had taken a beating while I was held for an unexpected 5 hours in the terminal.

However, using the iWalk as a Magsafe charger and phone stand whilst topping up my headphones via USB-C worked perfectly.

With just 6,00mAh capacity, charging two devices at the same time mostly maintained my battery levels instead of increasing them, yet for that situation, it worked perfectly, prolonging their performance, allowing me to finish my movie and have enough power to last the Uber ride home.

MagSafe Sicky Pads

iWalk claims the PowerGrip Mag requires 2.5 hours to charge over USB-C with the provided cable fully; however, I experienced an average of 3 hours from flat to full, and that was using a 65W travel adapter (not supplied).

MagSafe

I found the magnetic connection between my iPhone 14 Pro and the iWalk PowerGrip among the strongest I’ve encountered.

I always keep my phone protected and regularly switch between a Horween Leather case for work or a stronger, more rugged option, both of which are MagSafe compatible.

iWalk provides a loop sticker for non-MagSafe cases in the box, but the magnets are so strong they will connect through most standard cases.

Whether you’re travelling, working, or simply on the move, this charger ensures you never have to worry about running out of battery; with a combination of reliability, convenience, and superior charging capabilities, the iWalk PowerGrip Mag Magsafe Charger is a must-have accessory.
