Earlier this year, I published the {Tech} for Travel Best Travel Gadgets for 2022, in which the Carl Friedrik Carry-On Pro topped the luggage list.
The London-based, Swedish luggage company has joined forces with the Italian F1 team Scuderia AlphaTauri to create a Limited Edition colourway of its standard Carry-On Case.
Hopefully, this new case will start an ongoing partnership between the luggage and F1 worlds, where in recent years, we’ve been treated to a full lineup of matching bags and accessories, such as the Lat_56° and Tumi ranges.

The Polycarbonate hard-shell Carry-On from Carl Friedrik retains its 40L capacity whilst remaining at a cabin-friendly 15 x 22 x 9-inch form factor. Externally, the case is secured by dual combination locks mounted on a robust metal frame and finished with Italian leather top/side handles and a single band that runs around the circumference of the case.
As with the original version, this Limited Edition is mounted on four Japanese-made, 360° spinner wheels for maximum manoeuvrability.
Inside the lightweight 3.5kg Carry-On are compression straps in each half and a single, removable compression pad with a single pocket on the front.
The Scuderia AlphaTauri Carry-on’s understated aesthetic makes it a fitting travel case for F1’s best-dressed team and stylish travellers alike.

Travellers in the UK and Europe can upgrade the Limited edition case the same as the standard carry-on by including an optional battery pack fo £29/€36.
All in the Colour
What sets this Limited Edition apart from the standard case is the new colourway. Previously, The Carry-On only came in a Dark Grey shell with a choice of three leather accents; Black, Chocolate and Cognac.
This partnership brings the AlphaTauri Navy Blue to the case and is complimented with Black fixings and wheels and finished with White lettering of both brands on each of the leather handles.
The result is a new elegant and stylish look for an established case.
